About JMB
Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting Jane May Blogs. You’re on this page probably to find out a little about me, who I am, what I am doing and what the heck am I going to provide you as my readers.
Why I Do What I Do
Well, let me start off by saying the relationships you build online, in business or just in your everyday life can make a difference in how you perceive and approach the world. I’ve met some great people online. My most recent adventure online was with Career Ramblings. Career Ramblings is a way for me to share some of my passion with others. I work by day helping people achieve their goals. I partner graduating students from college with company executives for mentoring relationships and internships. Careers are what I know, helping people is what I love.
I have had the privelege of meeting like-minded people through my adventures with Career Ramblings. Most of these people have sites that are focused on building the best blog or site possible. I have noticed that all of these sites are primarily for intermediate to advanced web users. And this is where Jane May Blogs comes in.
Purpose
I began in the blogging business with no real sense of what exactly I was getting into. Most of the sites I first read were using terminology that was way over my head. What I needed was a site that walked me through the basics and how to make my blog successful and profitable in a language that I could understand.
Content
I, along with some guests, will blog about topics that will walk you through the whole process of building a web site, from choosing a domian name to using the best Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques available to monetization strategies . But more importantly, we will show you first hand how to do this. We will have case studies where we walk you through starting a new web site, marketing it and making it profitable. If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, great! It will be a very interactive process so be ready to help us with things such as choosing a niche, and domain name.

This is an awesome site. Thanks for the info!
Jane, I have a question for you as experienced blogger. I know that putting your photo and name creates credibility for a blog, but is there any concerns about identity theft, or one should be just careful how much info about he/she puts online?
I believe this question will be interesting for many starting bloggers
Thank you!
I’d say just be careful not to give out any personal information. If you want your privacy, don’t give out any info. If you don’t mind being “googled”, then name and photo are okay in my book.
I like being googled…
“Youtube myspace, and I’ll google your Yahoo…!!”
Yeah dont’ ask me where I got that quote. It just stuck to my head somehow.
Nice quote, though
Great question but I think all the hype about identity theft has over dramatized the whole thing. It’s a serious issue to be sure and one you should consider before giving personal information to anyone/website. However, there are so many places your personal information can be found on the web that’s completely out of your control that it’s virtually impossible to not end up with something out there that maybe shouldn’t be. Best advice, follow your own instincts, if you feel uncomfortable about it then don’t.
Gary Lee has some hot bloggers on his blogroll, sheesh.
